Sport Cares is the evolution of Rugby League Cares, a charity which has been nationally respected for its wellbeing programmes. After more than a decade delivering best-in-class support to professional elite athletes in rugby league, we expanded our knowledge and expertise through evidence-based programmes such as Offload and Movember's Ahead of the Game to a broader community, and are now expanding our expertise to serve all sports across the UK and beyond.

Rugby League Cares has evolved into Sport Cares – an inclusive organisation that will share its knowledge, experience and proven approach across the wider sporting landscape. While our reach is expanding, our roots remain firmly planted in rugby league.
Rugby league has always been a sport built on inclusion, community and opportunity. It welcomes people from all backgrounds and creates environments where individuals can develop, belong and succeed. Those values have been at the heart of Rugby League Cares since its inception and have shaped everything the organisation has achieved.
This expansion is not about moving away from rugby league; it is about sharing the very best of rugby league with others.
What stays the same
Alongside this evolution, Rugby League Cares will continue as the charity brand that unites and inspires our rugby league community through its fundraising. It will remain the driving force behind the campaigns and funds that make such a difference to people's lives, including the Seriously Injured Players Fund, the Brain Health Fund and other initiatives dedicated to supporting players, families and the wider rugby league family.
